I just wanted to say thanks to my lovely friends that responded in a variety of ways to my post about my recent 'blues.' I'm grateful to you and to all my friends for just being who you are and helping me realise even more how blessed I am. I'm feeling heaps better. I wouldn't say I'm 100% but I'm certainly feeling better and have been waking up each day and making a conscious decision to be HAPPY. My wise husband has been telling me for years that happiness is a choice. I've pinched the following quote from a friend's blog (Hope you don't mind Carissa but when I was reading your blog the other day this really stuck out to me)..."Don't wait for circumstances to change before you are or will be happy. Happiness is a choice that you make and an attitude that you keep." With a refocus on the spiritual, a determination to do even a little bit of exercise each day and some pretty decent natural anti-anxiety vitamins I'm definitely on the right track again.
Speaking of which, I am going to go do a sesh on the Wii fit. Hope you're all having a good day. Much love and thanks to all you beautiful people. x

So glad things are picking up Mel. The first step to feeling better is always recognising and acknowledging that things aren't right. Sounds like you are doing lots of good things. Just be easy on yourself - eat well, get the rest you need, do some exercise if you are feeling up to it, continue to take 'meds' that help and work on the spiritual side too and I'm sure you will be back to your normal happy self very soon.
Mel, I've decided that I wish you still lived in Adelaide, and that we got to know each other better when you were here! There have been a couple of your blogs that could have been written by myself at exactly the same, it's reassuring to know you're not the only one feeling that way, so thankyou! Take care of yourself and your beautiful family. Remember that they are what's most important, and they need you! Looking after yourself is important so that you can be there for them....
Sending love!
Thanks guys. Kathryn, I still wish I lived in Adelaide too :-( I still remember having a great time with you and Dallin that time Pete and I came over for dinner and we played Phase 10 I think it was...or something like that. At least we can keep in touch in some way via blogs etc. You'll have to come for a visit to Melbourne x
